Cosy Rip Socks

This pattern is simple and classic, and a great first socks project for beginners hence it uses a worsted weight yarn instead of fingering which is more difficult for some newbies, even expert knitters need some easy peasy project every now and then You can find a pdf paid version of the pattern in ravelry for 3$ only Materials 60g of any worsted weight yarn 5mm / 80cm or 100cm circular needle Notions: Scissor, 2 Markers, Darning needle Gauge 16.5 sts x 24 rows = 10cm Size 22.5cm x 10cm Abbreviations K: knit P: purl k2tog: knit two together W&T: wrap and turn around next stitch Rep: Repeat PM: put marker M: marker Sl: slip stitch St:  stitch Sts: stitches Note W&T in a knit stitch: sl next stitch to right needle with yarn in back, bring yarn in front, sl back stitch to left needle, bring yarn to back and turn your work W&T in a purl stitch: sl next stitch to right needle with yarn in front, bring yarn to back, sl back stitch to left needle, bring yarn to front and turn yo

School Memories Pencil Case


A fun monochrome pencil case with a touch of pink, worked in moss stitch and two triangles, this pattern inspired from a pencil case i used to have way ago when i was a little girl, that was triangles in the sides.



Finished size: 17 x 7 x 7.5 cm

Materials:
yarn: soft feather nature cotton (Black, White, Pink) around 30g or less of each color
you can use any fine weight yarn for this project
hooks: 3.5mm / 2mm
sewing needle
(embroidery/sewing thread) matching the color of yarn
zipper
Stitches:
ch = chain
sc = single crochet
dc = double crochet
cl = cluster
sl = slip stitch
picot = 3 chains, sl in first st

Moss Stitch instruction:
Row1: *sc in next st, ch1, skip 1 st, rep from *to the end
Row2: sc in first st, *sc in next st, ch1, skip 1 st, rep from * to last 2 sts, sc in last 2 sts



Pattern Instructions

Rectangle (make 1)
ch 48, skip first ch, and srat working the moss stitch
10 rows in white
35 rows in black
10 rows in white

Next Row (Repeat this row 2 times): ch1, sc in 3 sts 
keep around 12 cm of yarn foe sewing

attach yarn to the other side and repeat the last two rows



Triangle (make 2) 
All odd rows in black and all even rows in white
start with a magic ring
Row1: 12 sc in ring, pull up yarn to close the ring, sl in first st
Row2: ch1, 3sc in first st, sc in next 3 sts, (3sc in next st, sc in next 3 sts) twice, sl in first st
Row3: ch1, 3sc in first st, sc in next 5 sts, (3sc in next st, sc in next 5 sts) twice, sl in first st
Row4: ch1, 3sc in first st, sc in next 7 sts, (3sc in next st, sc in next 7 sts) twice, sl in first st
Row5: ch1, 3sc in first st, sc in next 9 sts, (3sc in next st, sc in next 9 sts) twice, sl in first st
Row6: ch1, 3sc in first st, sc in next 11 sts, (3sc in next st, sc in next 11 sts) twice, sl in first st
Row7: ch1, 3sc in first st, sc in next 13 sts, (3sc in next st, sc in next 13 sts) twice, sl in first st
Row8: ch1, 3sc in first st, sc in next 15 sts, (3sc in next st, sc in next 15 sts) twice, sl in first st


Blocking:
block all three pieces and make them ready for seaming


Seaming:
fold the triangle and sew the 3 sts in both sides as shown in the picture


align both triangles to the sides of  the first piece from the inside and work sc around them held together



it looks like this from the outside
 
 Adding the zipper:
sew the zipper in place using a sewing thread or embroidery thread 
you can pin the zipper in place before sewing to help you align it better


Edging: using 2mm hook
Row1: (working in back loop) attach yarn in first st around the zipper opening, ch1, sc in same st, *ch5, skip 3 sts, sc in 4th st, rep from* 9 times (total 10 times)
ch5, sc in the middle of the side, ch5, sc in first st showing around the zipper
*ch5, skip 3 sts, sc in 4th st, rep from* 10 times
ch5, sc in the middle of the side, ch2, dc in first sc worked



Row2: ch3, cl of 2dc in the same space, ch2, picot (ch3, sl in 3rd ch), ch2, cl of 2 dc on the first cl worked
*cl of 3dc in next space, ch2, picot, ch2, cl of 2 dc on last cl worked
rep from * to the end, sl in fist cl, fasten off and weave all your ends


Tassle:
make a little tassle with your three colors and attach in to the zipper.
