Cosy Rip Socks

This pattern is simple and classic, and a great first socks project for beginners hence it uses a worsted weight yarn instead of fingering which is more difficult for some newbies, even expert knitters need some easy peasy project every now and then You can find a pdf paid version of the pattern in ravelry for 3$ only Materials 60g of any worsted weight yarn 5mm / 80cm or 100cm circular needle Notions: Scissor, 2 Markers, Darning needle Gauge 16.5 sts x 24 rows = 10cm Size 22.5cm x 10cm Abbreviations K: knit P: purl k2tog: knit two together W&T: wrap and turn around next stitch Rep: Repeat PM: put marker M: marker Sl: slip stitch St:  stitch Sts: stitches Note W&T in a knit stitch: sl next stitch to right needle with yarn in back, bring yarn in front, sl back stitch to left needle, bring yarn to back and turn your work W&T in a purl stitch: sl next stitch to right needle with yarn in front, bring yarn to back, sl back stitch to left needle, bring yarn to front and turn yo

Yarn: La Mia Cotton Pastel / one ball and few meters about 70 g (120m) of MC / about 20g (35m) from each CC – for making 8 motifs Yarn available in my store here
5.5mm hook for motifs / 5mm hook for slip stitch

With MC 
Ch4, dc in first st





Row 1: ch3, in ring work dc, p, (ch, p) 4 times, 2dc (13sts)



Row 2: ch3, dc in first st, dc in next st, (dc in next st, dc in next sp) twice, (2dc, ch3, 2dc) in next st, (dc in next sp, dc in next st) twice, dc in next st, 2dc in last sts (21sts)



Row 3: WORK ON Blo, ch1, 2sc in first st, ch1, sk1, hdc in next st, (ch1, sk1, dc in next st) twice, ch1, sk1, tr in next st, ch1, (tr, ch1, tr) in next ch st, ch3, skip next ch,(tr, ch1, tr) in next ch st, ch1, tr in next st, (ch1, sk1, dc in next st) twice, ch1, sk1, hdc in next st, ch1, sk1, 2sc in last st (30sts)



Row 4: WORK ON flo, ch3, dc in first st, (dc in next st, dc in next ch st) 5 times, tr in next st, tr in next ch st, tr in next st, 2tr in next ch st, ch3, skip next ch st, 2tr in next ch st, tr in next st, tr in next ch st, tr in next st, (dc in next ch st, dc in next st) 5 times, 2dc in last st (36sts), cut yarn



Row 5: WITH CC, start with a knot, 2sc in first st, sc in next st, picot, *sc in next 3 sts, picot, Rep from *5 times, 3sc in ch sp, picot, *sc in next 3 sts, picot, Rep from *5 times, sc in next st, 2sc in last st, cut yarn 


Adding slip stitches 
With CC
Make a knot and work sl in each stitch on row 2, cut yarn 
Make a knot and work sl in each stitch on row 3, cut yarn
Weave in all ends








Joining the motifs
With MC
Ch10, sl in first ch, ch12, *pick up a motif, sc in first sp, 2sc in second sp, sc in next sp, 2sc in next 5 sp, sc in next sp, 2sc in next sp, sc in next sp

Ch10, Rep from *
After finishing all your motifs, ch22, sl st in 10th ch from hook, cut yarn
Weave in ends and its done
