Cosy Rip Socks

Alize softy (white)
Scrap black yarn (about 15cm)
Stiffing fiber
4.0mm hook
Notions: Scissor, Darning needle, 6mm sfety eyes, Markers

Gauge

18.5 sts x 20 rows = 10cm

Size

21cm x 13.5cm

Abbreviations

Ch: chain

Sc: single crochet

P: puff stitch 

Sl: slip stitch

Mr: magic ring

Blo: back loop onley

Rnd: round

St: stitch

Sk1: skip 1 st

Sp: space

PM: put marker

Pdec: decrease 2 puff sts together

Basket

Using Brown Yarn held double Start with ch25

Row 1 – 13: ch1, sc in 25 sts, turn

Now start working around the outcome rectangle

Rnd 1: ch1, sc in 25 sts, sc in each row end (12sc), sc in 25 sts, sc in each row end (12sc), (total 74sts), PM

Rnd 2 – 6: working spiral, sc in each sts around, cut yarn and weave the end

Using white yarn

Rnd 1: start at any sts, ch3, p in the same st, *ch1, sk1, p in next st, repeat from * to last sts, ch1, sk1, sl in first st

Rnd 2: sl into next sp, ch3, p in the same sp, *ch1, p in next sp, repeat from * to the end, ch1, sl in first st, cut yarn and weave the end

Head

Using Brown Yarn held double Start with ch5

Rnd 1: working spiral, 2sc in second ch from hook, sc in two sts, 3sc in last st, working around the beginning chains, sc in 2 sts, sc, pm

Rnd 2: 2sc in 2 sts, sc in 2 sts, 2sc in 3 sts, sc in 2 sts, 2sc in last sts, pm

Rnd 3 – 7: sc in each sts around

Rnd 8: BLO, sc in each sts, cut yarn leaving a tail for seaming

 

Attach safety eyes and use the black scrap yarn to embroider the nose

Fill the head with stiffing fiber then seam the stitches together

 

Using white Yarn start working in the front loops we left from the last rnd

Rnd 1: start at any sts, ch3, p in the same st, *ch1, sk1, p in next st, repeat from * to last sts, ch1, sk1, sl in first st

Rnd 2: sl into next sp, ch3, p in the same sp, *ch1, p in next sp, repeat from * to the end, ch1, sl in first st

Rnd 3: ch3, *pdec, rep from * to the end, sl in first st, cut yarn and weave in the end

Ears (make 2)

Using one strand of Brown Yarn start with a MR

Rnd 1: working spiral, 6sc in ring

Rnd 2: 2sc in each st

Rnd 3: *2sc, 1sc, repeat from * 6 times

Fold the circle in half and sew the edge of both ears in place

Legs (make 4)

Using one strand of Brown Yarn start with a MR

Rnd 1: working spiral, 6sc in ring

Rnd 2: 2sc in each st

Rnd 3 – 6: sc in each st, cut yarn leaving enough tail for sewing

Sew each leg about 1cm from the basket edges, weave in all ends

Tail

Using white Yarn, ch4, p in first ch, ch5, p in 3rd ch, cut yarn and weave the end

Using Brown Yarn start with ch5, sl in the p made in white, sl in 5 ch, cut yarn and sew the tail in place
